In 2022, the 2020 National Eisteddfod of Wales (postponed due to Covid) will be hosted by the county of Ceredigion and will take place here in Tregaron. To celebrate this prestigious event and to help raise the funds necessary to hold it, Rhiannon has created a rather special design.
At first glance the design looks like a small flower, but on closer inspection the centre is seen to represent the 12 stones of the Gorsedd of Bards, set in a circle with the Maen Llog (Logan Stone) in the middle. Around this three red kites are flying, - graceful birds, once very rare and confined to the hills above Tregaron, but by now a familiar sight throughout Ceredigion.
